Crash Bandicoot rumoured to return in 2019

It looks like everyone’s favourite 90’s marsupial is set to make a comeback in a brand new game next year.

This is all according to UK based merchandising company GB Eye, who have claimed in a DHX Brands’ Licensing Source Book Europe magazine that not only is a new game in the works, but that last year’s hugely successful N-Sane Trilogy will also be coming to Nintendo Switch and PC.

“The new game was a huge success at retail with no marketing spend. Next year it will be going broader (Switch and PC) and there will be another game in 2019″ states GB Eye manager, Max Arguile.

“Activision has a five-year plan for this and GB Eye is delighted to be fully on board for all products.”

Obviously take this with a huge pinch of salt until we hear something directly from Activision, but a new entry makes a lot of sense. Developers of the remaster, Vicarious Visions, have proven themselves to be the perfect company to bring an original Crash Bandicoot adventure to market.

Also, N-Sane Trilogy on Switch? Aye. Good fit. This is probably true.

Cheers for the heads up, IGN.
